BACKGROUND

Cysts, fibroids, masses, myomas, endometriosis are all common gynecological disorders. Cysts are the growth of mucus-filled sacs. Fibroids are benign uterine growth of smooth muscles. Masses are abnormal growth of cysts and tumors. Myomas are smooth, benign tumors. Endometriosis is the growth of endometrial tissues outside the uterine cavity. Though the names differ in Western medicine, they all refer to abnormal growth of tissues in different places. According to traditional Chinese medicine, these abnormal tissues are diagnosed as “blood stasis and phlegm stagnation.”
